2021-2022 Term

President: David Haungs, '23

David Haungs served as the Judicial Council President from April 1, 2021, to April 1, 2022. As President, he nominated and presided over Parliamentarian Madison Nemeth, Vice President of Elections Koryn Isa, and Vice President of Peer Advocacy Allison Sharp. While a Notre Dame undergraduate, David resided in Keough Hall and majored in Chemistry and Political Science. 

Before assuming his role as Judicial Council President, David served as a member of the Election Committee for the 2019-2020 term, and as the Judicial Council Vice President of Elections for the 2020-2021 term. On March 10, 2021, he was nominated to serve as Judicial Council President by Thomas Davis II—his predecessor and the 2020-2021 Judicial Council President—and was confirmed by a unanimous vote of the Student Senate. As President, David oversaw a strong electoral cycle with exceptional turnout, a comprehensive process of constitutional and judicial reform, clarifications to the jurisdiction of the Election Committee, efforts to form the first Electoral Code, and efforts to amend Student Union fiscal policy. 

On February 23, 2022, David successfully nominated Madison Nemeth as his successor. In recognition and appreciation of "his dedication and contribution to the University of Notre Dame du Lac," the Student Senate granted David the title of Judicial Council President Emeritus on April 13, 2023. Above all, David is remembered for his exceptional constitutional knowledge, and his selfless desire to improve and better the Student Union.

Today, David is a J. D. Candidate at the Yale Law School. 

Parliamentarian: Madison Nemeth, '23

On April 8, 2021, David Haungs successfully nominated Madison Nemeth to serve as the Student Union Parliamentarian. Madison served as Parliamentarian between April 8, 2021 to April 1, 2022, having previously served as the Johnson Family Hall Senator a member of the Committee on the Constitution for the 2020-2021 term. As Parliamentarian, Madison engaged in a process of constitutional and bylaws reform. While a Notre Dame undergraduate, Madison resided in Johnson Family Hall and majored Political Science and Africana Studies with a minor in Education, Schooling, and Society.

On February 23, 2022, Madison was nominated to the role of 2022-2023 Judicial Council President by President David Haungs and confirmed by a unanimous vote of the Senate.

Today, Madison serves as an English teacher, instructing 6th Grade students in English.

Vice-President of Elections: Koryn Isa, '24

On April 8, 2021, David Haungs successfully nominated Koryn Isa to serve as the Judicial Council Vice President of Elections. Koryn served as Vice President of Elections between April 8, 2021 to April 1, 2022, having previously served as Vice President of the First Year Class Council for the 2020-2021 term. As Vice President of Elections, Koryn oversaw transparent and highly engaging elections and worked to offer swift and clear assistance to all candidates. While a Notre Dame undergraduate, Koryn resided in McGlinn Hall and majored in Biological Sciences with a minor in Health, Humanities, and Society.

On April 7, 2022, Koryn was nominated to the role of 2022-2023 Judicial Council Vice President of Elections by President Madison Nemeth and confirmed by a unanimous vote of the Senate.

On March 1, 2023, Koryn was nominated to the role of 2023-2024 Judicial Council President by President Madison Nemeth and confirmed by a unanimous vote of the Senate.

Vice-President of Peer-Advocacy: Allison Sharp, '23

On April 8, 2021, David Haungs successfully nominated Allison Sharp to serve as the Judicial Council Vice President of Peer Advocacy. Allison served as Vice President of Peer Advocacy between April 8, 2021 to April 1, 2022, having previously served a member of the Election Committee for the 2020-2021 term. As Vice President of Peer Advocacy, Allison worked to support students accused of violating the Notre Dame's standards of conduct, and to institute a student audit process within the Office of Community Standards. While a Notre Dame undergraduate, Allison majored Political Science and minors in European Studies. 

Today, Allison serves as a consultant fellow for Meridian Compensation Partners.
