2026 Timeline

Pursuant to Article XV, Section 2d, an official list of candidates will be posted outside the Student Government office.

List of tickets for Student Body President and Vice President announced
Meeting with Student Body Candidates to discuss Rules and Regulations — 8:30 PM

Campaigning begins at 12:00 AM, following the candidate meeting and a confirmation of eligibility

IF NECESSARY:

RUN-OFF ELECTION DAY!
Vote on NDCentral between 8AM-8PM
If there are three or more tickets for a runoff, the Judicial Council will send out individual ballots to each hall. In the case that nobody wins the runoff, the candidate who has won the most halls will be declared the winner in Senate on Wednesday, pursuant to Article XV, Section 5(3) of the Constitution

Campaign limit of $200, all materials must be approved and receipts handed in to Judicial Council
Campaigning may be held ONLY over the period specified by the Election Committee
Use of Listservs and Google Groups for campaigning is prohibited (including @listserv.nd.edu or any variation thereof)
Candidates may create or use a personal social media account or page to campaign, but all activity, including but not limited to text posts, photos, and videos must adhere to the regulations of ethical behavior as detailed in Article XV, Section 1 of the Student Union Constitution
Allegations of election misconduct must be submitted to Judicial Council (jcouncil@nd.edu or through this form) within 48 hours of the time committed or 9:00 pm on day of the election, whichever is sooner.
