President: Michael Thomas, '13
Michael Thomas served as the Judicial Council President from April 1, 2012 to April 1, 2013. As President, he nominated and presided over Parliamentarian Lauren Vidal, Vice President of Elections Katie Hennessy, and Vice President of Peer Advocacy Taylor Sticha. While a Notre Dame undergraduate, Michael majored in Finance and Spanish.
Before assuming his role as Judicial Council President, Michael served as the Judicial Council Vice President of Elections for the 2010-2011 term. He was nominated to serve as Judicial Council President by Susanna Sullivan—his predecessor and the 2011-2012 Judicial Council President—and was confirmed by the Student Senate.
Following a year of service, Michael successfully nominated Michael Masi as his successor.
Today, Michael is a Principal at BayPine.
Parliamentarian: Lauren Vidal, '15
On April 4, 2012, Michael Thomas successfully nominated Lauren Vidal to serve as the Student Union Parliamentarian. Lauren served as Parliamentarian from April 4, 2012 to April 3, 2013. Noted by Michael in her nomination, Lauren's participation in FUEL gave her "an awareness and understanding of the roles of the various groups within the Student Union." After serving as Parliamentarian, Lauren would go on to become Student Body President for the 2014-2015 term. While a Notre Dame undergraduate, Lauren resided in Pasquerilla West Hall and received a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (BBA).
Today, Lauren is a Senior Director of Corporate Risk at WTW.
Vice-President of Elections: Katie Hennessy, '13
On April 11, 2012, Michael Thomas successfully nominated Katie Hennessy to serve as the Judicial Council Vice President of Elections. As noted by Michael, Katie serving on the Election Committee for two years helped her gain "an awareness and understanding of the elections process within the Student Union." Katie served as Vice President of Elections from April 11, 2012 to April 17, 2013. While a Notre Dame undergraduate, Katie resided in Lewis Hall and majored in Accounting.
Today, Katie is an Audit Senior Manager at Deloitte.
Vice-President of Peer Advocacy: Taylor Sticha, '13
On September 5, 2012, Michael Thomas successfully nominated Taylor Sticha to serve as the Judicial Council Vice President of Peer Advocacy. Taylor served as Vice President of Peer Advocacy from September 5, 2012 to April 17, 2013. In her nomination, Michael notably praised Taylor for her "unparalleled enthusiasm, and sincere interest in the renewed success of the Peer
Advocacy program." While a Notre Dame undergraduate, Taylor resided in Lewis Hall and majored in Psychology.
Today, Taylor is the Director of Strategic Initiatives at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School.
